Description of the FPS SOFTAIR GEAR IN131:
High-speed 13:1 steel gears manufactured using metal injection molding (MIM). This process achieves 99% of the strength of machined metal, with tolerances of +/- 0.01 mm. Our gears are heat-treated and superfinished to increase surface hardness and reduce operating friction. The lightweighting of the parts has been designed for optimal fluidity and to reduce vibration during the firing cycle.
