Unlike previous Tokyo Marui airsoft replicas, the Tokyo Marui MK18 MWS (ZET system) rifles now feature metal frames instead of all-polymer ones, as well as licensed trademarks for increased realism. Combined with the high-quality internal components and reliable Tokyo Marui stock, these rifles are perfect for skirmishes right out of the box or as a base for high-performance projects.
The new ZET system is Tokyo Marui's latest addition to the GBB rifle market, featuring a similar action to the venerable Hi-Capa system, unlike standard gas-operated M4 systems. Designed not only for improved fuel efficiency, the ZET system has also been engineered for increased durability and longevity, notably thanks to its short-stroke roller hammer; this design significantly reduces cyclic wear on the bolt, hammer, and valve striker. Other improvements include a steel bolt locking plate, which addresses a common problem on standard gas-operated M4 systems: the bolt stop experiences accelerated wear and quickly loses its bolt locking function after the last shot.
